runtimes
PHP 8.4 by default and 8.5 from 20 November, with the pipe operator. PHP 8.1 reaches end of life in December. Node.js 24 Krypton LTS, Bun 1.2 with its S3 and Postgres clients built in, Deno 2, Go 1.25 and Rust 1.9x.
python
Python 3.14, with free-threading now officially supported rather than tolerated. Packages install with uv, which everybody switched to somewhere between the last version of this page and this one.
data
PostgreSQL 18 with async I/O and pgvector 0.8. MariaDB 11.8 LTS has a native VECTOR type. Valkey 9 and Redis 8 are both offered, because the fork was settled by people running one of each.
images and panels
Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, Debian 13 Trixie, AlmaLinux 10 and Rocky Linux 10, with cPanel & WHM 128 LTS or Plesk Obsidian 18.0.7x. The cPanel licence went up again in January. Console did not.
console
Console is now also an MCP server. The underlying script is unchanged. It has been wrapped in a CGI, a REST API, a GraphQL schema and a tool manifest, in that order, and it still writes the same three files.
interfaces
REST, webhooks, SSE and the tool manifest. The GraphQL endpoint we announced we were retiring in 2023 is still up, and this year something new started depending on it.
Network
99.99% network uptime, measured at our edge.
Three of this year's largest outages happened inside providers whose status pages were hosted on themselves, and we would like to be boring about this in public before it is our turn.

Frankfurt moves to PostgreSQL 18 tonight at 02:00 UTC. Async I/O is on by default. pgvector goes to 0.8 in the same window and your indexes come with it.
Resolved. Cause was upstream DNS at a provider we do not name in postmortems until they publish theirs.
The agent that opened a deploy loop overnight is rate limited, not banned. It was doing exactly what it was told.
PHP 8.1 is end of life in December. Console has been saying so since March, in orange.

Glitch stopped hosting projects in July. Skype shut down on 5 May after twenty-two years, which is longer than most of the companies in this table managed combined.
