Kept current. This year that took more work than usual.

Platform

The stack, and the versions it is actually on.

Every plan is the same platform. The console below is the one we use for our own sites.

Runtimes

PHP 8.2 by default and 8.3 from 23 November. PHP 8.0 reaches end of life this month and moves to extended support. Node.js 20 Iron, Bun 1.0, Deno, Python 3.12, Go 1.21 and Rust.

Databases

PostgreSQL 16, MySQL 8.1, MariaDB 11.0 and Redis 7.2. pgvector is enabled on new clusters by default. It has been a busy year for that extension.

Edge and security

HTTP/3 and TLS 1.3 everywhere, nginx 1.24 and LiteSpeed 6.2 in front of your application. Rapid Reset was patched across every HTTP/2 stack on 10 October, including the ones nobody had asked about.

Images and panels

Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, Debian 12 Bookworm, AlmaLinux 9.2 and Rocky Linux 9.2, with cPanel & WHM 108 LTS or 112, Plesk Obsidian 18.0.55 and CloudLinux on shared nodes. CentOS 7 images are still available and we would very much like to talk to you about that.

Interfaces

REST, webhooks, and a GraphQL endpoint we are gradually retiring in favour of the REST API, which never went away.

Facilities

Two upstreams, two power feeds and N+1 cooling in Frankfurt, Ashburn and Singapore. The datacentre access procedure was reviewed in July and no longer mentions a Logitech F710.
